The Original Cat Cave Cocoon — designed in 2012 by Vaiva Nat and hand-felted by her ever since. This is the personalized version: choose your colours, size and details, and I will felt a one-of-a-kind cave for your cat in Lithuania (EU).

Why cats love it

Cats sleep up to 16 hours a day and instinctively look for a warm, enclosed den where they feel safe. Wool contains natural lanolin — its scent calms cats and draws them in from the first day. The thick felt walls soften sounds, keep warmth in winter and stay cool in summer.

How it is made

• 6–8 hours of handwork for each piece
• 100% OEKO-TEX certified wool — no glue, no seams, no synthetics
• Felted only with hot water, soap and my hands, shaped without molds
• Thick, sturdy walls keep their shape for years — this is pet furniture, not just bedding

Choosing your size

• XS — Ø 30 cm / 12″: pocket pets up to 2 kg / 4 lb (not for cats)
• S — Ø 40 cm / 16″: cats up to 5 kg / 11 lb
• M — Ø 45 cm / 18″: cats up to 7 kg / 15 lb
• L — Ø 52 cm / 20″: big cats up to 10 kg / 22 lb, or two cats

Style: Cocoon has a smaller entry — for cats that love to hide. Cave has a wider entry — for cats that prefer open space. Write me your cat’s weight, habits and colour wishes — I will design it with you.

Care

Hand wash like a wool sweater, in lukewarm water with wool soap. Each piece is felted individually, so the shade and entry shape may vary slightly — a sign of true handwork, not a flaw.
